Great American Outdoors Act

The National Park Service is offering a free entrance day to U.S. National Parks – and there is no special park pass needed!

This free entry provides a great opportunity to visit a park that normally charges a fee, such as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and more. You can check out the full list of participating sites on the website. There are over 400 National Parks in the United States and 12 are in North Carolina!

Free Entrance Dates 2025:
January 20: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
April 19: First day of National Park Week
June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
August 4: Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
September 27: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
