Virtual Lemur Science! And Trivia? Hosted by Duke Lemur Center

  • When: Thursday, June 4, 2020, 10:00 am - 11:00 am
  • Location: Online
  • Cost: Free

Have you ever wondered what a DLC researcher gets up to in the field? Or how you extract and preserve a 30 million year old primate fossil?
Have you ever wanted to learn more about the unique island of Madagascar, and our conservation efforts on the ground there? Or how lemurs evolved such unique traits?
Join us every Thursday at 10:00 AM EST for a live talk with Q&A from a DLC expert! We've partnered with Exploring By The Seat Of Your Pants to bring weekly lessons on all things lemur right to a screen near you. We're not kidding when we say this series will have it all, so we hope you're ready to learn!
Each talk will be hosted by our virtual education partners on YouTube Live. Teachers and students are welcome to sign up in advance on www.exploringbytheseat.com to reserve video chat spots for the Q&A, and anyone is welcome to join in via live chat during the talk!
We will be posting the link to the live talk in each event on Thursday mornings, and if you can't join us live, that's okay! We'll share the recorded talk and Q&A on our own page for you to enjoy a few days later.
In case you need a little more motivation to attend this awesome series - watching these weekly talks will give you a leg up on the trivia competition. So be sure to keep up with our weekly videos and keep your eyes peeled for more information on when our next trivia challenge video will be posted!
