Performance: 7pm Friday, August 14th
In this two week intensive camp, students will immerse themselves in classical theatre and learn what it takes to bring Shakespeare from the page to the stage!
Students will be introduced to the text-centered approach of Scrap Paper Shakespeare, including scansion & First Folio technique, and will bring a Shakespeare play to life, culminating in a fully-staged one-act performance on Friday, August 14th, open to friends, family and the public!
This camp is perfect for students with an interest in classical theatre – no prior Shakespeare experience required!
Each student will receive a camp t-shirt and a script. The final performance will be free to friends, family & the public.
Auditions will be held informally on the first day of camp. Students should prepare a short monologue from a Shakespeare play.
