PineCone presents two camps during the summer (one week each, whole day or half day) for young folks interested in strengthening their musical skills and learning more about the traditional music of our region. These camps present a unique opportunity for kids who have some familiarity with their instruments and want to play bluegrass music.
Campers will learn about song structure, bluegrass history, how to play with their friends, and technique tips from their amazing instructors, who are professional musicians!
Bluegrass Camp focuses more on individual instruments, and Bluegrass Jam Camp teams kids up to engage with each other in more of a jam setting.
Both camps are held at Page-Walker Arts & History Center in Cary. Camp is open to all kids in the listed age ranges, but PineCone members and Town of Cary residents get early sign-up and discount pricing. Find out more about camp sessions, signups, pricing, and financial assistance and read camper testimonials below.
