Pinata-Making Workshop
In participation with Crafty_Amor & Smith’s Farm Market we are bringing you an exciting new workshop: Celebrating Culture Through Creativity: Piñata-Making Workshop
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, this hands-on workshop invites participants to explore the cultural significance of piñatas while creating their own personalized piece. Led by two experienced instructors, this workshop blends creativity, tradition, and community engagement in a fun and interactive environment.
The goal of this workshop is to:
Celebrate Hispanic culture and traditions
Provide a creative, hands-on crafting experience
Encourage community connection and cultural appreciation
This workshop is designed for a broad audience, including families, youth, and adults. It can be adapted for different age groups and skill levels. Participants will be guided step-by-step through the process of creating a traditional piñata using accessible materials. Instructors will demonstrate techniques and provide assistance throughout the session.
Each ticket will include:
Introduction to the cultural history of piñatas
Demonstration of basic structure and design
Hands-on creation of a mini 5’’ piñata per person
Decoration and personalization of a larger 9” piñata (1 per family)
Take-home finished products
All materials will be included. The workshop will be led by two facilitators who bring experience in crafting and cultural creativity, ensuring participants receive individual guidance and support.
This workshop highlights the importance of piñatas in Hispanic culture, especially in celebrations such as birthdays, posadas, and holidays. Participants will gain not only crafting skills but also cultural understanding and appreciation.
