What is Cyclocross?
Cyclocross (or CX) is an exciting form of cycle racing that challenges cyclists on a multi-terrain course, navigating grassy areas, gravel, hills, mud, wooded sections, and various obstacles*.

Think a 'cross country race' on a cycle.

In a CX race, all cyclists continue around the course (usually a 1.5 to 2 mile loop) focused on completing as many laps as possible in a set time period (30 minutes at Kanata Cross).

An extremely welcoming sport built around camaraderie, cyclocross is open to cyclists of all ages and skill levels.

No specialized CX gear is required. The majority of racers use mountain cycles or road cycles outfitted with nobby tires.
