Local artists set up their easels across Wake County’s parks and preserves, capturing their beauty and character through outdoor painting.
Now you’re invited to experience their work firsthand at a traveling art exhibit that will visit several parks throughout 2026 as part of the 50th anniversary of Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space.
The exhibit will be set up at each park’s center or office and will be open during the facility’s regular hours.
Exhibit Dates (Open from 8AM - Sunset):
July 1–Aug. 2 Beech Bluff County Park
Aug. 7–Sept. 7 Historic Yates Mill County Park
Sept. 14–Oct. 11 Harris Lake County Park
Oct. 16–Nov. 22 Blue Jay Point County Park
A special exhibit opening event will be held from 5–8 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Beech Bluff County Park. Join us to honor the artists who are featured in the exhibit and be one of the first to view their artwork.
