Amid the rising tensions of the American Revolutionary War, a group of young patriots learn just how high the price of freedom can be. Gideon Hammond—feeling the pull of a loyalist family—must decide between conflicting convictions. Flanked by his friends, Benjamin Tallmadge and Nathan Hale, he faces the doubts and uncertainties within himself, struggling to reconcile how he fits into a story much larger than his own.
