May StoryWalks® of Wake County Parks

Read a children’s book while you enjoy a nature walk at several Wake County Park locations. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

From May 1–31, visit the brand new Beech Bluff StoryWalk®, "I Love Strawberries" written by Shannon Anderson and illustrated by Jaclyn Sinquett.

From May 3-31, visit Crowder's new StoryWalk®, "Finding Wild," written by Megan Wagner Lloyd and illustrated by Abigail Halpin.

From May 9-31, visit Harris Lake's StoryWalk®, "Be Nice to Spiders," written and illustrated by Margaret Bloy Graham.

From May 1-31, Oak View's brick walkways will feature the children's book "Drawn Together," written by Minh Lê and illustrated by Dan Santat.

From May 3 –31, visit the new Yates Mill StoryWalk®, "Spring Is...", written by Barbara Pinke and illustrated by Alvin Adhi.

From May 1-31, visit the new Sandy Pines StoryWalk®, "Tree Full of Wonder" written by Anna Smithersn and illustrated by Martyna Nejman.

Park Hours: Monday–Sunday, 8AM to Sunset
