
Wake County Cooperative Extension invites the community to celebrate sustainability and innovation during its Compost Awareness Week Pop-Up at Moore Square in Raleigh.
This lively, interactive event will transform Moore Square into a bustling hub of climate action, food recovery, and compost education. Attendees will discover how simple, everyday choices can help reduce food waste and turn discarded scraps into valuable resources for the community.

Local businesses, nonprofits, and government partners will be on-site to showcase innovative solutions that divert food from landfills to productive use and transform excess into access. Participating organizations include Wake County Cooperative Extension, NC State Compost Lab, The ReCollective, NC Solid Waste Management, Green Waste Company, Society of St. Andrew, Beech Bluff County Park, and the Toward Zero Waste/SHARE Program.
