Harris Community Day

Community Day at Harris Nuclear Plant offers a rare behind-the-scenes experience open to the public. Attendees can enjoy guided driving tours of the site, including a photo opportunity near the iconic cooling tower.

Guests can meet area emergency planning partners, Duke Home Energy House Calls representatives, SPOT the robot dog, and more. Inside, visitors can explore interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and informational videos about Harris Nuclear Plant and energy generation. Outside, families can enjoy a DJ and bounce house for kids. Back by popular demand, visitors can also learn about new nuclear possibilities at Belews Creek.

A food truck and Italian ice truck will also be available for visitors.
