April StoryWalks® of Wake County Parks

Read a children’s book while you enjoy a nature walk at several Wake County Park locations. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

From April 1-30, visit the American Tobacco Trail's StoryWalk®, "Mae Among the Stars," written by Roda Ahmed and illustrated by Stasia Burrington.

From April 1–27, visit the brand new Beech Bluff StoryWalk®, "A Day With No Words," written by Tiffany Hammond and illustrated by Kate Cosgrove.

From April 3-30, visit Crowder's new StoryWalk®, "Compost Stew," written by Mary McKenna Siddals and illustrated by Ashley Wolff.

Take a StoryWalk® at Oak View! From April 1-30, Oak View's brick walkways will feature the children's book "Too Much!: An Overwhelming Day," written by Jolene Gutiérrez and illustrated by Angel Chang.

From April 3 –30, visit the new Yates Mill StoryWalk®, "This Is the Sunflower," written by Lola M. Schaefer and illustrated by Donald Crews.

From April 1-30, visit the new Lake Crabtree StoryWalk®, "The Home Builders" written by Varsha Bajaj illustrated by Simona Mulazzan.

From April 1-30, visit the Robertson Millpond StoryWalk®, "Tree Full of Wonder" written by Anna Smithers and illustrated by Martyna Nejman.

Park Hours: Monday–Sunday, 8AM to Sunset
