February StoryWalks® of Wake County Parks

Read a children’s book while you enjoy a nature walk at several Wake County Park locations. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

From February 7-28, visit the new American Tobacco Trail StoryWalk®, "Owl Moon," written by Jane Yolen and illustrated by John Schoenherr. From February 1-27, visit the brand new Beech Bluff StoryWalk®, "Have You Thanked an Inventor Today?," written by Patrice McLaurin and illustrated by Dian Wang. From February 3-28, visit Crowder's new StoryWalk®, "Racoon on His Own," written and illustrated by Jim Arnosky. Take a StoryWalk® at Oak View! From February 1-28, Oak View will feature "Go Forth and Tell: The Life of Augusta Baker, Librarian and Master Storyteller" written by Breanna J. McDaniel and illustrated by April Harrison. From February 3-28, visit the new Yates Mill StoryWalk®, "How Big is Love?," written and illustrated by Emma Dodd. From February 1-28, visit the new Lake Crabtree StoryWalk®, "My Heart" written and illustrated by Corinna Luyken.
