January StoryWalks® of Wake County Parks

Read a children’s book while you enjoy a nature walk at several Wake County Park locations. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

From January 2–31, visit the brand new Beech Bluff StoryWalk®, "My Grandpa, My Tree and Me," written by Roxanne Troup and illustrated by Kendra Binney.

From January 3–31, visit the brand new Blue Jay Point StoryWalk®, "Ten Ways to Hear Snow," written by Cathy Camper and illustrated by Kenard Pak.

From January 5-31, visit Crowder's new StoryWalk®, "Winter Lullaby," written by Dianne White and illustrated by Ramona Kaulitzki.

From January 10-31, visit the StoryWalk®, "Hiders Keepers Finders Seekers: How Animals Adapt in the Winter," written by Jessica Kulekjian and illustrated by Salini Perera.

From January 2-31, Oak View's brick walkways will feature the children's book "Say Something!," written and illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds.

From January 5–31, visit the new Yates Mill StoryWalk®, "The Snowy Day," written and illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats.

Park Hours: Monday–Sunday, 8AM to Sunset
