Treefrog Survey at Prairie Ridge

  • When: Wednesday, June 10, 2026,  1:00 pm -  3:00 pm
  • Location: 1671 Gold Star Dr., Raleigh, NC 27607
  • Cost: Free with Registration

Tree frogs are among several species of frogs that call Prairie Ridge home. These frogs like to sleep in hollow cavities during the day, and people can support tree frogs by installing PVC pipes for them to use as shelter. Prairie Ridge has frog pipes around the Ecostation, and has been monitoring the frogs that use them for several years to better understand the tree frogs that live here.

Come help us check these tubes and document frog biodiversity at Prairie Ridge in this program for ages 8+! We will learn about tree frogs and how to contribute to ongoing herpetology data collection efforts through HerpMapper.
