Celebrate World Wetland Day, A Trip to the Vernal Pool

Even though it is cold outside, salamanders are out and about (especially on rainy nights), looking for places to lay eggs in pools of water that often dry up during the summer (vernal pools). In honor of world wetlands day, we will hike to a vernal pool to look for salamanders or their eggs, and will talk about the biology of these amazing animals.

Ages 8 and over. Children must be accompanied by adults.

Preregistration is required for planning purposes.
