Pop-up Pickleball Court Arrives in City Plaza

The City of Raleigh, in partnership with the Downtown Raleigh Alliance (DRA), has officially opened “a pickleball court in City Plaza”. The court is professionally designed, complete with all necessary equipment, and safety elements. Pickleball is the fastest growing recreation sport in the nation. This court is one of several efforts to draw people more regularly to City Plaza. Other efforts underway include large overhead shade structures and socially designed furniture. The city and DRA are excited about the potential of this initiative to revitalize our downtown area, promote healthy and active lifestyles, and strengthen community connections.
The court (behind Shish Kabob) is open to everyone, and it’s first-come, first-served, and you need to bring your own pickleball paddles and balls.
