Walk from Obesity at Buffaloe Road Athletic Park

TREO Foundation’s “Walk from Obesity” to raise awareness locally of the disease of obesity and treatment of obesity, along with funds for research and education.
Persons affected by the disease of obesity, family, friends, colleagues, and healthcare professionals unite and walk to raise local awareness of the disease of obesity in the annual nationally held Walk from Obesity.

The Walk from Obesity is an opportunity for participants to take a step towards a healthier lifestyle while raising awareness about obesity and its impact on individuals and communities. The event is open to individuals of all ages and fitness levels, and participants.
In addition to the walk, participants can also enjoy educational booths and activities focused on healthy living, as well as interact with medical professionals and advocates who are working to fight obesity. The Walk from Obesity is an excellent way for individuals and communities to come together to promote health, wellness, and a shared commitment to fighting obesity.
Registration for the event is now open and can be done online at www.walkfromobesity.com/events. Participants can sign up as individuals or as part of a team. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting obesity research and education initiatives.
Register children using the paper registration form, which can be accessed in the "Resources" section in your Participant Dashboard after registering online. Children will need to be accompanied by a parent that is also registered. We offer an optional coloring contest on the paper form. Please note: If you wish for your child to be entered into the coloring contest, please print and complete the coloring form prior to the event. A prize will be awarded to the winner. Child participants will receive a bag and a free coloring/activity book while supplies last.

Children under the age of 12 may register for free by paper with a registered parent or guardian.

Online registration is $30 and will be available until Friday, September 15th at 1:00 PM EST. Registration will be available at the Walk for $35. On-site registration will open at 12:00 PM.
