Prairie Ridge Ecostation's Insectapalooza

Join us at Prairie Ridge Ecostation for an insect-focused ecoEXPLORE bioblitz! We'll have nets, bug boxes, and other tools on hand for you to explore and photograph the insects at Prairie Ridge. Visit our Outdoor Classroom to use our identification tools to identify your insects. We'll also have prizes available for the ecoEXPLOREers who document the most insects during the event! Drop by any time during this fun mini-event to see some great insects, meet Chris (the ecoEXPLORE Entomology Season science mentor) and ask all your insect related questions, and get a ton of photos that count toward your entomology and moth badges!
Come dressed for the weather and ready to have fun looking for insects! Head down to our Outdoor Classroom, a short walk down the gravel path into our grounds, to get started.
This program is for ecoEXPLORE participants, kids in grades K-8. Not an ecoEXPLORE participant yet? Stop by our Outdoor Classroom and we'll show you how to get started in this citizen science educational program for NC kids!
