Does your coach always yell “point your feet!”? Do you ever wonder how you can enhance a routine and tell a story? This workshop will cover a variety of ways to take an ordinary sequence to a captivating aerial act. Students will begin with basic dance technique to build strength and awareness in their bodies that will transfer in the air.
Next, students will learn how to apply the Laban Movement Efforts (commonly used in theatre, dance, etc.) to explore how to tell a story while executing their sequence in the air.
Prerequisites: All levels are welcome. Must come in with a sequence/routine on an apparatus of their choice.
