Volunteers Needed at American Legion Hall

Each year, the Veterans associations in the Town of Wake Forest sponsor the placement of memorial flags on the graves of Veterans in our area. With the help of members, family, friends, citizens and civic groups, over 1,800 flags, at almost 20 different area cemeteries, are placed to remember and honor the service provided by these Veterans. Please come join us and participate in this meaningful and emotional event.
Everyone is invited to assist with this project which encompasses 18 area cemeteries. Groups will be established and flags distributed to each group depending on the size of the cemetery assigned. Enjoy a light snack, gather your flags and proceed to your designated cemetery to place the flags. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes once there. The experience is worth it!
