NC Museum of Art's Outdoor Movies

  • Cost: $7 Nonmembers. Free for museum members .

Along with a robust live music schedule, the museum also has family friendly movies scheduled to show outdoors in the amphitheater this summer. The theme of the 2023 outdoor film season is Esse Quam Videri, “To be rather than to seem,” the NC state motto that’s actually sculpted into the architecture of the Park Theater. This summer’s selection of movies highlights stories of being and showcases how artists authentically walk in or explore that concept.

“Turning Red,” June 23, Rated PG This film includes open captioning and audio description. “Grease,” July 7, Rated PG "Dirty Dancing" July 8, Rated PG-13 “Puss in Boots,” July 14, Rated PG This film includes audio description “Super Mario Brothers,” Aug. 17, Rated PG (This film includes open captioning) "In the Heights,” Aug. 26, Rated PG-13 Movies begin at 8:30PM.
