Our free monthly program is a great way for families/youth to make a difference in their community together! Youth and families learn a new skill and apply it immediately in an impactful service project!
Come to the back of the park for our learning component then we will all walk together to the Pollinator Garden next to the main office to get busy!
Learn from Crowder Park expert all about Popular Pollinators:
Birds, Bees, Bats, Butterflies and Beatlesthat pollinate plants that amazingly provide 1 out of 3 bites of our food! After that, we will take a short guided field exploration to see what a pollinator sees before our hands on family project.
Impactful Hands-on Service Project:
After our short field exploration, with the help of CUC/Crowder Park staff, you will plant 35-40 native pollinating plants/flowers and butterfly host plants to expand the Pollinator Garden at Crowder Park!
Kids/Families will also:
Set up Beatle Insect Hotels!
Lay out Butterfly Puddles! (you will learn about these)
Paint and set up Bug Houses for solitary bees!
Registration is required so we know how many supplies to have.
