JC Raulston Blooms, Plant Sale and Bird Competition

- Cost: Bird House Competition: Free. Bloom! and Plant Sale: $5 for nonmembers, $10 per family
We're rolling out the red carpet for members, home gardeners, families, and children by offering a day that's packed with garden and nature activities, shopping, and outdoor fun. This is a spring festival and plant sale you don't want to miss! Our horticulture staff will have over 250 types of plants ready for all plant lovers. This event also includes artisan vendors, food trucks, and educational vendors/ speakers. Come enjoy spring in the garden!
Part of Raulston Blooms! The Birdhouse Competition returns to the JC Raulston Arboretum. If you love the natural world and unique garden art, get out your sketch pad, paints, and tool box. Come and join the fun! This is a competition open to all ages. Categories include two adult (17 and up) categories: Flight of Fancy which is judge by aesthetic or Serious which is judge by craftmanship, four children's categories divided by age, and a Creativity for All! category for people of all ages with varying abilities. Advance registration to compete is required.
Along with being judged by a panel of judges, there will be Visitors Choice Awards. All guests of Raulston Blooms! are invited to use their spare change to vote for their favorite birdhouse. 1 penny is equivalent to one vote.
