Wendell Fireworks Show

Get ready, Wendellians! The Wendell Fireworks Show is coming up on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Wendell Community Park! The park will be closed for the day, opening at 6 p.m. to allow for parking on site, with the Fireworks Show beginning at 9 p.m. Parking will also be available downtown, so be sure to stop by one of Wendell’s local businesses and grab a sip and a bite before the festivities!
Activities at the Fireworks Show will include Americana music and many different food trucks! Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and activities for their families to enjoy. Please refrain from bringing coolers, pets, or personal fireworks including sparklers, so we can keep this a safe event for everyone!
Five Shuttle buses will be running from the Park and Ride lot to Wendell Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for those parking downtown. Please see the Shuttle Bus Map for more information.
Wendell Community Park can hold up to 500 vehicles and will be accepting cars until full. Once the park has reached this capacity, vehicle access will be closed. Those with golf carts or handicap placards will be allowed to use Third Street to enter the park. Third Street will be the primary entrance for pedestrian traffic and will be separated into two lanes. One for pedestrians, the other for shuttle buses, handicap vehicles, and golf carts. Handicap parking has been designated at the Tennis Courts with a capacity of 15 cars. Golf Cart Parking is located in the park in a blue designated area.
