Lyon Farms is proudly recognized as a registered North Carolina Century Farm, a distinction we have held since our humble beginnings in 1861. Over the years, we have dedicated ourselves to providing a wide assortment of high-quality fruits and vegetables, all lovingly grown on our expansive 370-acre farm, serving our local community and even extending our reach beyond. You can find us year-round at the bustling Durham Farmers Market and Carrboro Farmers Market. In addition to these markets, we also operate seasonal roadside stands and warmly welcome visitors to our farm location, where you can enjoy the delightful experience of UPick as well as purchase pre-picked fruits and vegetables, ensuring a farm-fresh experience for all.

Lyon Farms is delighted to welcome visitors during the beautiful spring and summer months. When the crops are in season, we proudly offer UPick experiences for a range of fruits including Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Peaches, and Tomatoes, all bursting with flavor. Additionally, we stock a wonderful variety of pre-picked fruits and vegetables for sale to satisfy your cravings.

Below, you will find estimated timeframes for when each type of fruit is typically available for UPick; however, please keep in mind that these timeframes can be subject to change with each new season and crop growth.

Strawberries: Mid April to Early June
Blueberries: Late May to Early August
Blackberries: Early June to Early August
Peaches: Early July to Mid August

Before you set out on your adventure to our farm, we kindly advise checking our website to confirm that we are open for the day. Don’t forget to bring along a basket or container to hold all the delicious berries you pick! If you happen to forget to bring a container, no worries at all; we have some available for purchase at our welcoming selling barn.
