Hidwell Family Farm was started by Ann Ogilvie back in 1988 off a dirt road called Hidwell Place off of Blaney Franks Road. She had farm camps for kids of all ages to come and learn about farm life. She partnered with schools and 4H programs to host field trips and day camps on the farm to do farm tours and teach children & their families about animals. She had ducks, chickens, sheep, goats, horses, barn cats, and more. She sectioned off pieces of her property as she got older and 3 of her children built houses and raised their families on the farm and helped run it. She eventually stopped hosting the farm tours and camps so she could spend more time with her family. Now, two generations later, her grandkids want to carry on the farm experience she created through farm events and parties.
