GenActive
This program is designed to help tweens learn how to properly fuel their bodies, develop a positive body image, and understand the basics of strength training. Through engaging activities and supportive guidance, participants will be empowered to continue their healthy journey. The first half hour will be a discussion of different topics related to nutrition and body image. The second half hour will be a workout.
Athletic Development for Youth Athletes ages 10yrs+
Do you have a “tween” or teen that wants to start working out but needs to learn the proper mechanics and techniques for lifting?
Does your child play a sport and wants to become faster and stronger in the off-season?
Is your athlete recovering from injury and needs to return to play?
Athletic Development is all about growth within your teen athlete. If they are playing a sport, in-season or not, this is very important. Learning how to become more explosive and control our bodies. Learning how to increase our speed is both linear and multidirectional. Learning how to engage different muscles and build strength. All three of these are essential, no matter the skill level.
60-minute sessions consist of:
30-minute plyometric/speed training & 30-minute strength training
Youth Cardio Deck & Weight Room Orientations
Youth Cardio deck orientations are for children ages 10-15. Certification with a Personal Trainer is a requirement for them to use the cardio deck with a parent or guardian ages 10-12 or without a parent or guardian ages 13-15. Youth members will learn how to properly use the treadmill, elliptical and stationary bikes and all equipment on the weight floor. Once the orientation is complete, youth members ages 10-12 will check in at the front desk and be able to use the cardio deck by wearing a wrist band. A parent or guardian must be present. Youth ages 13-15 years will also check in to receive a wrist band, but able to use the cardio deck as well as the weight floor alone.
