The Knightdale Knights have been serving the youth of Knightdale and the surrounding areas since 1968. We are a proud, non-profit youth recreational football and cheerleading organization and a member of the East Wake Football League.

The mission of the Knightdale Football Association is to provide the youth of Knightdale and our surrounding areas with an opportunity to develop sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, leadership and life skills through participation in football and cheerleading.

Lady Knights are now preparing for Season 3. The Lady Knights are no longer just a team that surprised the league. They are a standard. A sisterhood. A legacy in the making. And the scariest part for the competition? They’re still getting better.
This chapter isn’t about proving people wrong anymore. It’s about:
Developing leaders
Growing confidence on and off the field
Mentoring younger athletes
Building a program that lasts

Registration is typically early March for the Fall Football and Cheerleading season.

Practices begins the LAST Monday in July or the FIRST Monday in August. The start date is set by the East Wake Football League.

Our Tentative Practice Schedule​​
Flag Football (5 and 6 yo) - Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30-7:30 PM ​
Mascot Cheer (5 yo) - Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30-7:30 PM
Mini, Mighty, PeeWee Cheer - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 6:30-8:00 PM
Mini, Mighty, PeeWee Tackle Football - Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 6:30-8:30 PM
During the 1st two weeks tackle will practice Monday through Friday​

Games begin in September and are played on every Saturday (mornings for flag players, afternoons/evenings for tackle players)

Away games are played on fields throughout the East Wake Football League and may be as far away as Durham or Oxford but also may be as close as Wendell or Riley Hill.
