Poe Center for Health Education

The mission of the Poe Center for Health Education is to educate and empower North Carolina children, youth and their families to make choices that increase positive health behaviors.

We host field trips. We teach programs. We train professionals. We run campaigns. We support communities. We provide resources.

The Poe Center uses all these means and more to provide quality health education programs and information on family life and adolescent development, nutrition and physical activity, general health and body systems, substance use prevention, dental health, cooking and gardening, bullying prevention, and mental wellness.
