

WakeMed Physician Practices - Pediatrics provides primary medical care to children ages newborn to 18 years, treating a variety of services and diagnoses, including but not limited to:
Care of newborns, children, teens and young adults
Annual check-ups and screenings
Acute illnesses including flu, cold, sinus infections and sore throats
Sports and camp physicals
Chronic disease management, including asthma and ADHD
Care coordination for children with complex needs
Developmental assessments
Care coordination for children with complex needs
Specialty care for mood and behavioral health management
Vaccinations (WakeMed Children’s follows the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended child and adolescent immunization schedule)
Fluoride varnish
Partnering with the WakeMed Children’s network of pediatric specialists, including Wake County’s ONLY Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the highest level Neonatal Intensive Care, exceptional Infant Development Team, and more
