
UNC Fertility provides care for the evaluation and treatment of disorders relating to fertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, menopause, and reproductive endocrine abnormalities such as androgen excess and hormone deficiency syndromes. Services include the spectrum of fertility treatments (ultrasounds, inseminations, in vitro fertilization), reconstructive microsurgery (tubal reversals), laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, sperm and oocyte donation.
Effective Immediately (9/7/2022):
Due to staffing shortages, UNC Fertility is temporarily unable to accept new patients and offer the following services: • Intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) with fresh collected sperm* • Any inseminations on weekends or holidays • Sperm freezing* • Male surgical sperm procedures • Medically indicated fertility preservation • Gestational carrier-intended parent cycles (Gestational Surrogacy).
We will continue to provide the following fertility services but with limited appointment availability: • Fertility and reproductive endocrine consultations • Fertility testing (hormone testing, ultrasounds, hysterosalpingograms, saline ultrasounds, and semen analyses) • Ovulation induction (with timed intercourse) • Superovulation (with timed intercourse) • In vitro fertilization (IVF) – for currently scheduled IVF patients only • Embryo transfers • Donor egg warm treatment cycles.
