Lake Wheeler Park

City of Raleigh park with one wood chip covered playground. There are six rentable picnic shelters, as well as an outdoor volleyball court.

Visit us at the park office and inquire about the various amenities we have to offer. Rent a boat (jon boats, kayaks or pedal boats), pay to launch your personal boat, ask about our fishing rod and reel loaner program and access programs and classes such Nature Inspired Crafts for Kids or Learn to Fish Programs for Kids and Teens.

Lake Wheeler has a small concession stand to purchase a drink or grab a snack while you are out enjoying the park

You must be over the age of 18 to rent boats, and over the age of 16 to independently operate a rental boat.

Please call ahead to determine any weather conditions for the day. Swimming is not permitted.

Swimming and/or wading is not allowed.
