Blue Jay Point County Park is a 236-acre park located on the shores of Falls Lake in northern Wake County. Blue Jay Point has a Tot Lot playground for 2–5-year-olds and a Kids Lot for 5–12-year-olds AND a Natural Play Area! Picnic tables, restroom facilities, and a paved loop trail (great for strollers) are nearby.
Blue Jay Point's mission is to offer environmental education programming in a natural setting. Found here are hiking, fishing, picnic areas, environmental education, play areas, educational exhibits, open play area, educational gardens, and a natural play area.
The gardens & study pond area, located next to the Blue Jay Center for Environmental Education, gives visitors ideas for their own backyard wildlife habitat and native plantings. The gardens and pond area also serve as an outdoor classroom for many of our environmental education programs.
Blue Jay Point County Park also hosts Geocaching! The hunt is on during this high-tech “treasure” hunting activity! The idea is to use GPS devices to find hidden containers within the park. This activity is self-guided by getting coordinates from Geocaching.com and bringing your own GPS unit.
Go Ape Treetop Junior courses offer a 1 to 1.5 hour outdoor experience designed specifically for those young adventurers in your tribe. Go Ape Treetop Junior courses utilize an easy to use safety system that will keep your young adventurers safe while they focus on having fun! Made up of 20 obstacles and 2 zip lines, our Junior courses are packed with excitement, delivering offers a treetop experience that will leave lasting memories.
