Yates Mill is the last operating, water-powered gristmill in NC's capital county. The 174-acre wildlife park features hiking trails, Historic Yates Mill, Wake County’s last remaining gristmill, and the mill’s 24-acre pond, which is fed by Steep Hill Creek. The 18th century water-powered mill is fully restored and operable.
