We are a small private school community located on an amazing lakeside campus in Apex, North Carolina. The vision for this school is unique and we have successfully pioneered concepts that are changing the way children are educated. JLSA is a one of a kind lakeside school specializing in exceptional learners. We are best suited for gentle hearted and eager learners, and combine a morning hike, with structured academic time, integrated arts based curriculum, and hands on learning in a small close knit environment.

Research proves that children excel in mixed age classrooms. It offers each child a chance to be a leader and follower. Children are never held back in areas of great strength and yet always have support in areas where they need it. It also allows older children to act in as role models for desirable reasons.
