Back Porch Playgroup Outdoor Preschool

An outdoor preschool nurturing empathy and imagination through play.

Our space includes a fenced forested backyard and huge screen porch. We foster social emotional communication rather than punitive discipline. Programming is Reggio-inspired and play-based. We spend hours swinging, looking for bugs, digging in the sand pit, cooking in the mud kitchen, reading books and making art. 2 teachers and 7 enrolled children.

We foster inclusion of neurodiversity and abilities. We are LGBTQ+ affirming, anti-racist and celebrate the diversity of our community and world.
