Subject: New This Summer in Raleigh – A Different Kind of “Camp” Experience
Dear Wake County PTA Leaders, Community Partners, and Families,
This summer, we’re excited to introduce something brand new to the Raleigh community: The WorldCommons Founder’s Studios.
Launching for the first time this summer, our Studios are designed for families who are looking for something more than a traditional camp experience. Because these aren’t camps. These are learning journeys.
We know Wake County offers many strong programs but we also hear from families that they’re searching for opportunities where students can create, think deeply, and truly engage in meaningful work.
That’s where the Founder’s Studios come in.
Each week-long Studio is a hands-on, project-based learning experience where students don’t just participate, they build, design, tell stories, and lead.
Instead of rotating through activities, students might:
• Write, film, and edit their own short movie
• Create and publish an original book
• Explore global cultures through art, storytelling, and design
• Build and innovate using recycled and sustainable materials
• Develop ideas to make a real impact in their communities
These Studios are founded and led by a local Wake County educator (Mr. VE) with nearly two decades of experience across public, private, and national education spaces, including recognition at the national level and work featured alongside leading voices in education.
Our mission is simple:
Give students voice. Give them purpose. Give them the opportunity to create something real.
Because this is our launch summer in Raleigh, we are reaching out to PTAs, schools, and community organizations to help share this opportunity with families across Wake County especially those seeking a more creative, student-centered, and meaningful summer experience.
We are also committed to access and inclusion, with scholarship opportunities available for families.
If you’re willing to share with your school or community, we would truly appreciate your support in helping us reach families who would benefit from this experience.
