Cary Ballet presents Sensory Friendly Nutcraker Suite at Cary Arts Center

The Nutcracker Suite Sensory Friendly Show is a one-hour narrated mini matinee. This performance provides a relaxed environment that is welcoming and inclusive to all members of our community. This includes children and families with autism spectrum disorders, sensory sensitivities, or other disabilities. The house lights remain dim, the music volume is turned down and there is a quiet room in the lobby. This is a great introduction for kids and families of all ages. This begins with a bare stage, allowing the audience to watch how the stage is set with lights, music, props and dancers -- how the ballet comes to life!
The Nutcracker is a holiday classic, featuring the magical tale of Clara as she journeys from her home to the Land of Sweets with her Nutcracker Prince. The Nutcracker truly is the event of the holiday season, and we hope you join us!
