Step right up for a day of joy and excitement at our School BreakOUT! in the Park, celebrating the North Carolina State Fair with a carnival twist! Join us for a fantastic day of Carnival Fun in the Park and experience the magic of the State Fair in your own backyard!
Get ready to transform into your most whimsical self with our Free Spirited Artistry Face Painter and Fairy Hair Artist. Whether you’re after a splash of color on your cheeks or some glittery magic in your hair, you’ll walk away feeling festive and fabulous!
Our roving performers from Imagine Circus will be adding even more wonder to the event. Look out for our stilt walker and hoop jam performer as they dazzle and entertain all over the park. Plus, don’t miss the hands-on Percussion Petting Zoo, where you can drum up your own rhythm with over 100 percussion instruments after catching an amazing musical performance by Steve Gryb!
The fun doesn’t stop there—prepare to be amazed by the “Greatest Showman” Magic Show from Fairytale Dreamer, where jaw-dropping illusions and incredible tricks will leave you spellbound! After the show, stick around for some extra fun as our talented magician twists and shapes colorful balloon animals, bringing even more magic to your day!

10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: Art Cart in the Nest Pavilion
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Free Spirited Artistry Face Painter & Fairy Hair Artist on Frantz Square Lawn (line closes at 1 :30 p.m.)
11 a.m. – 12 p.m.: “The Rhythm is Going to Get You” Performance by Steve Gryb on the Great Lawn Pavilion
12 – 2 p.m.: ‘Percussion Petting Zoo’ on the Great Lawn Pavilion with Steve Gryb
12 – 3 p.m.: Roving Imagine Circus Stilt Walker and Hoop Jam Performer
12 – 4 p.m.: Magnificent Concessions Food Truck at Park Street Courts
2 -4 p.m.: The ‘Greatest Showman’ Magic Show and Balloon Animals in the Academy Pavilion
