Walk with us to make a difference!

Open to all ages, this youth-led event is a powerful opportunity to support mental health awareness and foster meaningful dialogue. Hosted by Wake County 4-H Teen Council and benefiting the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wake County, the Walk for Mental Health raises awareness and funds to support individuals, families, and communities facing mental health challenges.

Event Highlights:
Scenic Walk: Enjoy a picturesque walk at Lake Crabtree County Park, a 215-acre park adjacent to a 520-acre lake. The park features over 16 miles of trails, perfect for walkers and joggers. Trails are designed for beginner to intermediate levels and offer a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience.
Mental Health Displays: Explore informative exhibits set up by Wake County 4-H Teen Council members, focusing on youth mental health issues.
Community Support: Engage in conversations and activities designed to break the stigma surrounding mental health.

NAMI Wake County provides support, education, and advocacy to individuals, families, and communities facing mental health challenges. Over the past few years, Wake County’s youth have actively worked to end the stigma of mental health by engaging in conversations, creating resources on the impact of COVID-19, and hosting this annual Walk for Mental Health fundraiser.
