Join us for a drop-in event designed to engage kids and teens aged 5-17 in the democratic process! This event is a fun and educational opportunity for young people to learn about voting and supporting Democrats in a hands-on way.
Activities Include:
*Crafts* Make fun crafts like friendship bracelets and American flags
*Learn How to Vote* Explore how voting works, understand the importance of voting, and practice filling out a mock ballot.
*What Are We Voting On?* Discover the offices and issues on the ballot in this election. We’ll break down what each role involves and why it matters.
*Postcard Writing* Write postcards to encourage people in your community to get out and vote. Supplies and templates will be provided.
*Meet the Candidates* Meet school board and other local candidates and ask them questions about their work and their goals for Wake County.
*Meet the Teen and Young Democrats* Chat with representatives of the Teen Democrats and Young Democrats of Wake County to see how you can get involved in electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
