Family Studio: Earthcasting at the NC Museum of Art

Guided by expert artists, look closely at original works of art and find inspiration to create your own projects during these two-hour studio workshops. Sessions include a guided tour plus time in the art studio to complete your own work of art.
Take inspiration from Thomas Sayre’s artwork in the Museum Park and let the natural world guide your creativity. Learn about Sayre’s “earthcasting” process to create the three rings of Gyre and create your own cast sculpture to take home.
All participants (children and adults) must have a ticket. All materials are included. Best for families with children ages 5 to 11.
