National Child Abuse Prevention Walk

Grab your family and friends to help us close out Child Abuse Prevention Month with a one mile walk around one of Wake County’s many parks and preserves. We'll also be sharing the Five Protective Factors with our communities in order to create a culture of awareness and support.

For all ages

Park Meetup Information:
Crowder County Park: Meet at the volleyball court. Walk the paved path around the perimeter of the park.

Oak View: Meet outside the Farm History Center. Walk around the Pecan Grove.

Sandy Pines: Meet at the picnic area adjacent to the parking area. Walk the Longleaf Pine Pond loop (trail 2 with pink markers).

Lake Crabtree: Meet at the gravel lot near the spillway and walk Old Beech Nature Trail.

American Tobacco Trail – New Hill Entrance: Meet at the comfort station and head north.

Green Hills: Meet at the playground and walk the pedestrian loop and Top of the Hill Trail.
