WAKE Up and Read Annual Children's Book Drive Kick-Off Event

It’s time for WAKE Up and Read’s Annual Children’s Book Drive! We believe that literacy is a right and all children need access to high-quality books. Last year, the Book Drive provided 9,000+ students at 15 partner schools and 16 child care centers with 10 books each to build their home libraries. More than 90,000 books were shared with children to spark a love of reading and stop summer slide. This is only possible through your support!
There are many ways to get involved, and you can join us as we kick-off the book drive on January 17th at a free screening of The Right to Read! Join us following the screening for an important discussion on the state of literacy in our area and what you can do to help make a difference in the life of a child. Book Drive Posters and boxes will be available on site.
