Downtown Raleigh (DTR) Playdates will start back up next month with our first meeting happening on Thursday, January 11, 2024. This year we will be exploring all the park options that DTR has to offer. First up is LeVelle Moton Park. This park was formally known as Lane Street Park but was dedicated to Coach LeVelle Moton, who was born and raised near the park. He is now the head basketball coach at NC Central University.
It boast basketball courts and a variety of play structure options, perfect for ages ranging from 2 -12 years old.
We will meet for free play and undirected child engagement for the most part but I will also bring materials for a fun, low guidance activities for your little ones to participate in if they want. To welcome winter and celebrate we will make mini winter wreaths made from natural materials.
