Touch-a-Truck is a fun, interactive, family-friendly area at Wheels on Academy that allows children and adults to see, touch, and safely explore their favorite trucks and heavy machinery. Join us for a glimpse into the inner workings of awe-inspiring vehicles and machinery and the vital tasks they perform.
Spend a nice spring day seeing cars of yesteryear come alive and rule the roads alongside some of today's modern hot rods and exotic cars. Find that special car that evokes memories of the past or dreams of the future. Academy Street will be full of entertainment, food, and fun for the entire family!
The Hagerty Youth Judging Program is back again this year. Kids 15 and under will get a chance to judge pre-selected cars and determine which one will receive this year's Youth Judge Award. All participants will receive a t-shirt, hat, and name tag. Spots are limited, so make sure you email and sign up early.
In conjunction with the Wheels on Academy car show, the Triangle Chapter of AACA and the North Carolina Region of the AACA are combining to bring to the Triangle area the Automobile Club of America NC Region Car Meet showcasing antique (25 years or older) automobiles belonging to members throughout NC and neighboring states. Vehicles include pre-war cars and trucks, hot rods from the ’40s and 50’s, muscle cars from the ’60s and 70’s, and beyond.
