There are many early childhood programs for children ages birth to five in Wake County. Some programs will take place in your home and some are programs to which you will travel. Learn more about these programs below.
Programs that come to your home:
Wake Connections – links you to services for pregnant women, first-time moms, infants, toddlers and young children who have not yet started Kindergarten, including:
Parents as Teachers – helps you ensure your child is ready for school
Nurse-Family Partnership – partners first-time mothers with nurse home visitors
Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) – weekly home visits and parent group meeting for families with children ages 3 to 5
SecurePath – offers services to help you address your child’s social, emotional or developmental challenges
