As child psychologists with several years experience providing child therapy and child evaluation services to children and families in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the greater Triangle, we recognize children present with unique needs with regard to therapy and testing services. And we recognize parents are often worried when they bring their child in for help, and often the child doesn’t know what to expect. From the moment you enter you will feel our dedication to providing a child-friendly and family-friendly environment, from our comfortable setting with specific play space and family space, to the warm welcome you will receive.

We believe children often face unique challenges and problems. For some, these challenges stem from a biological or psychological problem. For others, they simply need help during a difficult time or transition in their young life. Still others just need a little extra help developing everyday life skills. Child therapy provides a safe place for children to address problems. We involve children in the goal-setting process, and allow them time in therapy to become comfortable with their therapist, the process, and with actively addressing their problems. As each child and family are unique, we decide with parents on a case-by-case basis whether the child’s care should involve individual therapy, family therapy, individual parent sessions/coaching, or some combination.
