 Although “Carolina Skies” is one of the longest-running planetarium shows a
 t Morehead, this show is never the same twice! A Morehead educator leads th
 is “live” star show, a traditional planetarium show focusing on stars, plan
 ets, and constellations.<br /><br />“Carolina Skies” takes Morehead visitor
 s on a guided tour of the nighttime sky as it appears on that very night ab
 ove North Carolina. Visitors learn to identify celestial objects visible to
  the naked eye and find the cardinal directions using celestial signposts. 
 They learn about the legends and myths created by ancient cultures to expla
 in the astronomical phenomena observed by those cultures.<br /><br />Curren
 tly, “Carolina Skies” shows also include an exciting “fly-out” experience t
 hat travels beyond our Solar System into the Milky Way Galaxy and beyond to
  the universe’s outer reaches!<br /><br />Morehead also offers special edit
 ions of “Carolina Skies” throughout the year.<br /><br />General Admission
